Everything in one place: our terms of service, privacy practices, and refund policy. Last updated: February 28, 2026.

Terms of Service

1. About the Service

Schengen Nomad (along with its affiliated brand and domain, Visa Nomad) is operated by an individual based in the Netherlands, acting as a sole proprietor. For the purposes of payment processing and legal agreements, the business operations of both Schengen Nomad and Visa Nomad are conducted under the individual operator's personal legal name and address.

We provide a web-based calculator and planning tool that helps travellers track their days spent in the Schengen Area under the 90/180-day rule. By using our website and services, you agree to these terms.

Important Disclaimer

Schengen Nomad is an assistive tool only. It does not constitute immigration or legal advice, nor does a calculation result guarantee a right to stay. Immigration rules change frequently, always verify your situation with official immigration authorities before travelling.

We provide the service “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to denied entry, fines, or deportation.

2. Payments & Paddle

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

By completing a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

3. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, and code on Schengen Nomad are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to use the service lawfully and responsibly. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the travel data you enter. You must not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service in any way.

5. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.

Privacy Policy

Local by default, optional cloud sync

Schengen Nomad is local-first. Trip lists and calculations are stored in your browser unless you choose otherwise. If you sign in with Google and use Subscriber cloud sync, we store trip records in our PostgreSQL database (hosted on Neon) so you can recover them on a new device. That data is tied to your account and used only to provide sync, not for advertising.

Information We Collect

We collect minimal, non-personal data:

  • Analytics We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand page views and site performance. This data is aggregated and anonymised, it does not include personally identifiable information.
  • Payment data If you make a purchase, payment information (name, email, billing address) is collected and processed by Paddle as our Merchant of Record. We do not store or have direct access to your payment card details.
  • Account and sync If you sign in with Google, we store your Google account id, email, name, and profile image, plus your subscription tier and Paddle customer id where applicable. If you use cloud sync, we store your trip rows (dates, country codes, visa type, notes) in our database until you delete them or delete your account.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for the site to function and anonymised analytics cookies via Vercel. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Paddle may set its own cookies during the checkout process; please refer to Paddle's Privacy Policy for details.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Request data portability

Trip data in your browser is under your control: you can view, export, or delete it in the app or by clearing site data. For account-linked sync data, contact us to request deletion. For any data held by Paddle (payment-related), please contact Paddle directly.

Data Sales

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

Refund Policy

Supporter Tier (One-Time Purchase) Non-Refundable

The Supporter tier is a one-time purchase that grants immediate access to digital features. Because digital content is delivered instantly upon purchase, this constitutes a final sale. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that you are waiving your right of withdrawal under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, as digital access is provided immediately.

This waiver is confirmed during Paddle's checkout process before payment is completed.

Subscriber Tier (Monthly Subscription) 14-Day Refund Window

If you are on the Subscriber plan and are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase or most recent renewal date.

After the 14-day window, no refunds will be issued for the current billing period. You may cancel your subscription at any time, cancellation stops future billing, and your access continues until the end of your current billing period.

How to Request a Refund

For eligible purchases, you can request a refund by:

  1. Emailing us at support@schengen-nomad.com with your order number or the email used at checkout.
  2. Contacting Paddle directly through the receipt email you received after purchase.

Processing

All refunds are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Once approved, the refund will appear on your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
